Before you haul your computer out of your house and head to the computer experts to repair whatever is wrong, there are a few simple fixes you can try at home.
For instance, if you are having computer trouble, try restarting your computer and if you can’t just restart it, power off and then power back on. Restarting your computer t may be a long-running joke for easy computer fixes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work. You wouldn’t believe the number of times computer repair technicians are called to homes or offices only to restart a computer!
The next thing you want to do before you bring your computer in for service is to clear your browser cache and cookies. It’s always good to get rid of unnecessary stuff that can slow your computer experience and this could help if you are having any problems while browsing the Internet.
Sticky keys on the keyboard can also be problematic. Before rushing out for computer repair though, there are some things you can try. First, turn off your computer. Then try blowing compressed air around the computer keyboard key in question. If that doesn’t work, wash the area around your sticky key with a cotton swab that has been doused in distilled vinegar. Finally, you can gently work around it with a small screwdriver. Be careful with this step though and only use it as a last resort.
